How to play

  1. Sit in a circle and decide who goes first. The wheel can pick that too.
  2. Spin the Truth or Dare wheel to see which one you get.
  3. Load the Truths list or the Dares list above the entry box, and spin again for your prompt.
  4. Answer the truth or do the dare, then pass the turn to the next player.

Short on time? Load the Mixed list, which has truths and dares together on one wheel.

Rules for kind play

Truth or dare is only fun when everyone feels safe. Agree on these rules before you start:

  • Anyone can pass. After two passes in a row, swap to the other choice.
  • No dares that could hurt someone, break something or upset anyone.
  • No questions that embarrass a person or share someone else’s secrets.
  • Grown-ups have the final say when children are playing.

Our prompts

This page comes with 16 truths and 16 dares, all written to be family-friendly. The truths ask about favourite things, funny memories and big dreams. The dares are things like talking like a pirate or naming five animals in five seconds. Nothing needs special equipment, and everything works in a living room or a classroom.

Add your own

You can edit any list. Add inside jokes, questions about your class topic, or dares that suit your space. Keep each prompt on its own line. Save your version from the Saved tab, or send the wheel to friends with Share link before the party starts.

How to write good prompts

Good prompts are short, clear and easy to say yes to. For truths, ask about likes, memories and wishes, such as “What is the best smell in the world?” For dares, choose quick actions that anyone can do in a small space, and that are funny rather than embarrassing. If a prompt could make someone feel left out, leave it off the wheel. In class, tie the truths to your topic, for example “Truth: name one fact you learned today.”

Where to play

  • Sleepovers and birthday parties.
  • Family game night.
  • Rainy-day breaks and end-of-term fun in class, with Full screen on the projector.
  • Video calls with friends who live far away: share your screen and spin.

Keep it fresh

To avoid the same prompt twice, press Remove this entry after each spin. When the list runs low, load it again from the quick lists to get every prompt back. Need to choose who goes next? The random name picker can take turns for you.
