These terms apply when you use Spin a Name (“the site”, “we”, “us”). By using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Using the site

The site is free to use, and you do not need an account. You may use the tools for personal, school, work and community purposes, including in front of an audience, in class or on a live stream.

What you put on a wheel

You are responsible for the entries you type and for any share links you send. Please do not put other people’s private information on a wheel without good reason, and do not use the site to bully, harass or embarrass anyone. Share links contain the wheel’s contents, so anyone with the link can see them.

Fair use

Please do not:

• use the site to break any law or anyone else’s rights;
• run a prize draw, contest or giveaway that breaks the law where you live, or the rules of the platform you run it on;
• try to disrupt, overload or break into the site, or copy it in bulk with automated tools;
• make it look as if we support or run your event or giveaway.

Results and decisions

We work hard to make every pick fair, and the results are random. Even so, the site is a tool for everyday choices and fun. You decide how to use a result, and you are responsible for the choices you make with it. Please do not rely on a wheel for decisions about health, money, safety or legal matters.

Giveaways and prize draws

If you use the site to pick a winner, you are the organiser. It is up to you to set fair rules, follow the law and the rules of any platform you use, and deliver any prizes. We are not part of your giveaway and cannot settle disputes about it.

Our content

The site’s design, code, text and images belong to us. You may share links to any page. The ready-made lists on our wheels are there to be used: you may edit them and use them on your wheels freely.

Ads and other websites

The site may show ads and links to other websites. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content, products or privacy practices.

No guarantees

We provide the site “as is”. We aim to keep it working well, but we cannot promise it will always be available, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose. Saved wheels live in your browser, so they can be lost if browser data is cleared; keep your own copy of anything important.

Limit of liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage that comes from using, or not being able to use, the site, including lost data or decisions made using a result. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that cannot be limited by law.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the updated terms.
